Apply for the The Irene Patrick/Jerry Rouse Boone County Democratic Party Scholarship
2022 Application Deadline: April 20th, 2022
The Irene Patrick/Jerry Rouse Boone County Democratic Party Scholarship is given by the Boone County Democratic Woman’s Club and the Boone County Democratic Club to a graduating senior from a Boone County public or private high school who is a member of the Democratic Party or who plans to become a member when he/she reaches the appropriate age and plans to attend an accredited U.S. College, University, Nursing School, or Technical College/School, or Business School.
Funds for the $500.00 scholarship are provided by the Boone County Democratic Woman’s Club and the Boone County Democratic Club. If there are no applicants who fulfill the requirements of the scholarship, a scholarship will not be awarded.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a resident of Boone County and a senior at a Boone County public or private high school.
- Must be a registered Democrat, or, if not of age, express the intent to do so at the age of eligibility.
- Must have a 3.0 or higher grade point average. (Transcript is required, include ACT Score)
- At least one parent(s) or guardian(s) who is a registered Democrat.
- Write an essay (one page only, double-spaced and typed) on “Why I support the Democratic Party.”
- Include a copy of college acceptance letter with this application.
