Diane St. Onge has announced her intention to resign her seat in the Kentucky House of Representatives, prompting the need for a special election.  She currently represents the 63rd District which takes in northeastern Boone County, northwestern Kenton County and Ft. The date of the special election will be decided by the governor.  Typically, both parties nominate an individual to compete for the seat in special elections.
